How To Get That Summery Feel Inside Of Your House
Can the good weather we experienced in early June continue throughout the rest of the summer? We really hope so as everyone deserves it after the last few months we’ve all endured.
We don’t know about you, but we find that a bit of sunshine and those long days we get in summer gives us more of a positive mindset and puts an extra spring in our step.
If you find that too, you don’t want to miss out on it when inside your home. Luckily, you don’t have to as there are different ways of drawing a summery feel into your living space.
Clean your windows
The sun won’t be able to get inside your house as much as it could if your windows are dirty on the outside and inside. Clean them on a regular basis, or if you haven’t got time to do that, hire a window cleaner.
First thing in the mornings, you should fully open your curtains. If your curtains are quite thick, replace them with a thinner, lighter curtain to stop any light blockage.
Old windows could be the chief cause of any overheating. You need energy efficient glass in your windows, so order some window replacements.
Install bi-folding doors
If we were to recommend one home improvement for the summer, it would be bi-folding doors. They will invite so much light indoors due to the wealth of glass in each of the door sections.
This will apply even when the doors are closed as there is hardly any framework in an aluminium bi-folding door, almost predominantly glass, giving you a great garden view too.
Use the bi-folding door to cool down the place too, if it needs it, which will result in a rush of fresh air floating in.
Add some nature
The absence of a garden doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on nature at home. Houseplants will sort that out, and it seems that everyone is buying them at the moment.
The most popular types of houseplants tend to be succulents, ferns and orchids, and you can put them on display anywhere you like, such as on a countertop, floor or table.
As well as creating the feeling of nature, they will also purify the air inside of your house, and are known to lower stress and generally make you feel happier.
Our latest sales promotion includes bi-folding doors and energy efficient windows, if they are of interest to you. Go to our Special Offers page to see how you can make HUGE Summer Savings on them.
